Software Engineer II, Dell Technologies - Santa Clara, CA    Sept 2016  - Current

  • Developing expansion packs for Dell-Vmware products using python-django and java with SNMP4J library.

  • Developed a Dell networking content pack that identifies Dell switches and filters messages based on specific criteria (severity, et al.), available on the VMware marketplace as an add-on for VMware’s Log Insight (available on VMware marketplace).

Freelance Consultant - New York, NY    2015 - present

  • For Tanooki Labs - NYC (Nov 2015 - Feb 2016) Designed the circuitry and 3d components to a prototype haptic feedback device for assistive technology (kickstarter link).

  • For Elevate Dance/Brooklyn Ballet (Mar 2015 - Apr 2015) Wearables instructor and curriculum planner consultant to teach wearables class to middle school students that incorporated Adafruit Flora, Neopixel, and LSM303.

  • For iMentor - NYC (Jan 2015 - May 2015) Used Python, Flask, and SQL to improve performance for a platform mailer. Developed back-end that allows admin from different iMentor branches to create forms for mentors and mentees (production site).

  • For BlueStamp - NYC (Feb 2015 - Dec 2015) Recruited students and potential teachers for BlueStamp Engineering's Summer Electronics Engineering Program from NYC schools like Ramaz and Christo Rey.

  • For Maritime Broadband - NYC (July 2015 - Sep 2015) Electronics Technician Consultant responsible for revising documentation, conducting tests, and acting as cable production house for VSAT system. Wrote Google Apps Scripts to create a consolidated repository for their work.

Electrical Engineer (Intern), RAB Lighting - New York, NY     May 2014 - Sept 2014

Tested/analyzed Zigbee network radios on product emulation units and prototypes, and product firmware. Interpreted schematics to produce breadboard of product prototypes. Milled and assembled surface mount circuit board designs. Researched components like single-board computers, PMICs, solar panels, etc. Developed a test script in Python to flash the AT commands onto XBees. Found the solution to get 200 XBee nodes to work for RAB Lightcloud hardware product – the first commercial wireless lighting control system to launch into production (link).

Assisted in detecting bushfire trends by researching usable open-source code and electronic components.

Bryant Park Art Installation (NYT article)

Designed an art installation worth $500,000 for artist Ben Tritt showcased at Bryant Park (a block away from Times Square) on March 2014 that included dancers from several dance companies and toured Europe, produced by Jodi Kaplan (produced Beijing Olympics).
